XENON Hosts First Innovation Center Workshop

Experience future technologies up close

Dresden, October 2024

On October 29, 2024, the first joint workshop took place at the Innovation Center in the heart of the Coschütz-Gittersee industrial estate. XENON, the host, welcomed the center’s innovation partners for an afternoon of networking, idea exchange, and the shared exploration of new technologies.

The workshop aimed not only to optimize the site’s potential for research and production, but also to deepen mutual understanding among partners. Brief presentations and captivating insights into the research and production facilities of XENON and its partners—Additive Drives, Fraunhofer IWU, and Siltectra—set the stage for inspiring discussions.

The participants were impressed by the innovative strength of the partners.

Participants were impressed by the innovative capabilities of the partners. Additive Drives demonstrated how new electric drives with significantly increased electrical efficiency can be developed and produced in small and medium-sized series. Cutting-edge technologies, such as 3D printing, open up new possibilities for design and production processes.

Fraunhofer IWU showcased how its research into cognitive production systems in adaptive robotics contributes to the flexible automation of manual processes—a true advancement for modern manufacturing. Siltectra impressed attendees with its production-ready and reliable “Cold Split” technology for silicon carbide wafers, enabling significant material savings. Experiencing this level of innovative power all under one roof was a true highlight for the attendees.

To conclude the day, XENON offered a tour of its production facilities, presenting an exciting cross-section of automation solutions for industries such as automotive, energy, and electronics.
