XENON hosted the project meeting for the research initiative A-Cure.

A-Cure is a medical technology research project focused on developing a platform solution for safe and automated infusion therapies, particularly in oncology. At the heart of the project is an innovative cassette-based multi-channel pump and its associated software ecosystem, designed to make complex infusion treatments safer, more efficient, and easier to automate.

For XENON, the primary focus is on the automation of cassette manufacturing. Key objectives include identifying and evaluating relevant production and assembly processes, developing automation concepts, designing core processes, and demonstrating their functionality through laboratory demonstrators up to Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4.

The project officially started in April 2026 and will run until March 2028. Project partners include Connected Consumables GmbH, Murrplastik Medizintechnik GmbH and Optogon GmbH, all based in Saxony. The initiative is funded and supported by SAB.
